"The Norvegian art historian Gerd Woll (b. 1939) received her master's degree from the University of Oslo in 1972. She further explored the theme and content of her thesis, on Edvard Munch's Workers Frieze, in several catalogue essays and exhibitions, the most comprehensive being Edvard Munch - Monumental Projects 1909-1930, published by the Lillehammer Kunstmuseum in 1993.
"From 1973 to 2001, Gerd Woll served as curator of prints and drawings at the Munch-museet. She was then promoted to Senior Curator, in which function she remained until 2010."
