Consacrée à l'Âge d'or danois, cette exposition monographique -la première sur ce thème aux Etats-Unis- abordait la peinture danoise depuis 1816, année qui vit le retour de Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg à Copenhague après son voyage d'études à Paris et à Rome.
